This Mezuzah case is made of natural Jerusalem Stone quarried in the Holy Land. It has been polished by hand to bring out the stone's natural grain and warm hues in much the same way that was done in ancient times. Into it have been decoratively carved the Hebrew words "Shomer Dlatot Yisrael", a phrase which loosely translated into English is "Guardian of the gates of Israel". The abbreviation of these words is often manipulated into the name "Shaddai" - שדי, what is traditionally considered one of God's many acronyms . Large: 16 x 4.5 cm. Takes 12 cm scroll.
